I've seen many times where people would ask "woah, that looks really cool, how did you do that?" while getting back a comment like "practice and trial and error"

Although this can be true, I still think it's even better to help and show people different techniques to improve. Like I mean it's the right thing to do, and I know how the community can get when it comes to sharing stuff. So here is a collection of different things i've learned and/or figured out over the years.
